My support is tailored to you, your dog and your home situation.
How it works in practice is simple:
I’ll have a quick chat with you first (for free) to gain an understanding of what the difficulty is that you’re having.
We’ll then typically book in for an in-depth Q&A session of up to 90 minutes. In that session I’ll ask you more questions about your dog’s history and life with you, to help me tailor my support to you. I’ll aim to give you some practical behaviour management or training activities that you can put in place immediately.
After the Q&A session, I will email an initial plan for you to review. The aim of the plan is to build up your knowledge and confidence so that you can support your dog yourself, with as much or as little support from me as you need along the way.
Your dog’s welfare is important to me. If, in my experience, I have reason to think your dog needs to be assessed by your vet or a Clinical Animal Behaviourist, I’ll help to connect you.
I charge £55 for one-to-one sessions, including for your first session (in-depth Q&A and initial plan).
Sessions may be online or in-person, at a date and time that works for you, your dog and your family.
Payment is advance and secures your booking.
IN CASE THIS APPLIES TO YOU
I offer a 5% discount for NHS and veterinary staff, and key worker families. Because we can’t thank you enough for what you do.
Collaboration with your vet is an essential requirement for behaviour modification or movement analysis. Your vet shares responsibility with you for your dog’s health and welfare. Depending on the service provided, you’ll be given either a referral letter or report for your dog’s primary vet.
You are encouraged to take out adequate pet insurance for the lifetime of your dog.
Details of Dogs Like Yours’s insurance policy, which includes Public Liability and Professional Indemnity, are available on request.
Online training: It may be more appropriate for support to be given online initially. Please note that Dogs Like Yours accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever (save for any liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited) for any personal injury or death suffered by you, your dog(s), family members or any members of the general public, whether suffered directly or indirectly, as a result of your participation in online one-to-one guidance that we provide to you.
By booking an online session with Dogs Like Yours, you irrevocably provide your agreement that participation is done entirely at your own risk.
“I never doubt Nat will be Yukis/my biggest cheerleader, a support and friend to us!
I couldn’t recommend her enough and can’t express how thankful I am for everything shes taught me and Yuki on our journey to success.”
— APRIL & YUKI THE BICHON FRISE
“Working with Natalie has been one of the best things we’ve done to help our spaniel Scout. Having someone who listens, understands and supports you is invaluable when you’re struggling. Her expertise and understanding of dog behaviour and physical health bridged the gap with our vets and meant I felt much more confident explaining Scout’s problems to others.”
— OLIVIA & SCOUT THE SPANIEL
